Lower Briggate
Lower Briggate is closed to Road Traffic.
Barriers are put across the road and pavement. Entrance to Lower Briggate is via Security checks. Bags may be searched.
No glass, bottles or alcohol are allowed. Alcohol can be purchased but can be purchased from the street bars, bars & pubs.
Only plastic gasses are allowed by the Leeds Licencing authority within the area
Food Stalls & stalls will be located in the area
Lower Briggate Main Stage
2pm to Closing session at 9pm.
Dance Music, DJs, Drag Artists, solo vocalists, groups
9 pm Street entertainment ends but continues in the gay bars
Leeds Traffic
Lower Briggate is closed to Road Traffic.
Expect Traffic disruptions & delays in central Leeds due to the closure of Lower Briggate & the Gay Pride Parade.

The Baracoa is not a Gay Bar but ithas located in the centre of Leeds Gay Village and took the opportunity to cash in on the event. Baroca has now moved 100 metres along Call Lane towards the Corn Exchange.

Millennium square
11:30 am Speeches followed by Entertainment on stage in Millennium square until 2pm
Millennium squarehas located
- in front of the Leeds Civic Hall
- at the side of Leeds General Infirmary (LGI Hospital)
- 100 metres up Calverly Street from the rear of Leeds Town Hall

The Gay Parade is the main event of the day, starting at Millennium square and ending in The Calls at the Junction of Lower Briggate* .

Lower Briggate is in the heart of Leeds Gay Village, and the street will be closed to traffic and will be re-opened after clean up starting around 9pm

Access is FREE and there will be access points to Lower Briggate controlled by Security Personnel.
Bag Search & Random searches will be in place.

Lower Briggate is a local name given to the Briggate that is south of Boar Lane (ie downhill). Lower Briggate is marked as such on Google Maps but on many other maps it is marked as Briggate
