With it's increased number of flights and improved check in facilities Leeds/Bradford airport is again the fasted growing airport in the UK. The increase in passengers over the previous year was 17%. The airport has a selection of restaurants, cafes and bars.

There is only 1 terminal. Arriving by the one way road the terminal stretches along the road, you reach the departure area first, arrivals being further along the building.

Leeds and Bradford International Airport has flights to and from a wide range of UK and European cities.

Location of Leeds and Bradford International airport LBA

• Leeds and Bradford International Airport (LBA) is Located near Yeadon on the A658, approximatly 11 miles to the North West of the city of Leeds, and 10 miles from Bradford
• near Yeadon, Rawdon, Horsforth.
• Allow about 22-25 minutes by car, longer in "rush hours" especially the evening one.

The Main Line station is in Leeds 11 miles from the airport. Taxis and the Airlink Bus Service 757 buses are available from Leeds rail station and Leeds bus station to the Airport

There are 2 nearer Local Line Stations. I don't have information on the availability of taxis from these 2 small local stations.

• Guisley for travellers from Ilkley Shipley or Skipton.
•  Horsforth - from Leeds City.

To/from Leeds (AirLink 757)

Every 30 minutes from Leeds Bus station and Leeds City Rail station during the day, hourly evenings and Sundays.

To/from Bradford, Shipley, Guiseley and Yeadon (MetroConnect 737)

Every 30 minutes from Bradford Interchange, Bradford Forster Square stations, Shipley Market Place, Guiseley and Yeadon during the day and every hour evenings and Sundays.

To/from Otley and Pool (AirLink 757)

Every 30 minutes from Otley Bus Rail station and Pool during the day. No service evenings or Sundays.

To/from Harrogate (Bus2Jet)

Bus 2 Jet is a new service, linking Harrogate with Leeds Bradford International Airport.

Buses run every 90 minutes, with 12 journeys a day in each direction, from early morning to late at night.

After departure from Harrogate Bus Station buses will stop at all stops, but to pick up only. From Leeds Bradford International Airport buses will stop at all stops, but to set down only.

Passengers making local journeys, e.g. Pool to Weeton or Harrogate to Pannal, will not be carried on this service.

Driving to Leeds and Bradford Airport

Leeds and Bradford Airport is well signposted on all major roads over a wide area.

The approx times must be increased dramatically during morning and especially evening rush hours.

West Route 9.6 miles approx 25 mins

• A65 from City centre via Kirkstall, Rawdon. 6.3 miles
• Turn right onto B1642, for 0.6mile.
• Turn right A658 (Harrogate).
• Turn right at rounderbout just after passing under the runway tunnel, airport 0.6 mile

East Route 10.8 miles approx 25mins.

• A660 from Leeds City centre, via Headingly, Lawnswood, to Bramhope. 7.8 miles.
• Just after Bramhope turn left onto A658 towards Yeadon and (Bradford) 1.9miles.
• Turn left at roundabout, airport 0.6 mile

Parking

Sign posted Long term at Airport. 0113 250 9696 ext 2477. Coutesy buses run between car parks and the terminal.

Approx prices: 8 days £40.00, 15 days £68.00

Take an Entry Ticket at the car park barrier and keep it with you until you return from your travel. Remove all valuables from your car and check that windows and sunroof are fully closed before locking the car.

IMPORTANT Upon Your Return
After reclaiming your luggage and clearing Customs Control, prepare to collect your car by having your parking Entry Ticket ready. You cannot leave the car park without first exchanging it for a valid Exit Ticket upon payment. Payment is not possible at the exit barrier. Payment Stations are located within the arrivals and departure concourse areas.

Also consider Manchester Airport

Manchester International Airport (MAN) , is a far larger airport than Leeds Bradford, with a wider selection of schedule and charter flights. The disadvantage being that it is 59 miles away. 1Hour 5 mins by car.

There is a regular train service from Leeds City station to Manchester Airport station. The service runs 24 hrs, frequently during the day reducing to about every 2 hours through the night.
