Transport Buses Leeds & Yorkshire
Leeds has a very good system of bus routes and buses that are operated by several bus companies under the overall control of Metro. On most buses you pay the driver, except for the long bendy buses which have a conductor on board who sell the tickets.
The buses also have schemes where yo can buy a ticket that last foe a day, week or month offering cheaper fares for frequent users.
The day rider ticket is useful if you are making 3 or more bus jouneys in a day. But there are time restrictions on when you can use them. They are purchased on the bus. For longer periods enquire at the main bus station.
All bus shelters have route information, and Most bus shelters in the city centre and some of the shelters in the outskirts have sreens that display the times for the next few buses.. Mobile phone users can ring a number along with the bus shelter number to obtain times of next buses.
